Open Call for Essays: CHECK-IN 2025
Fifth edition of CHECK-IN
By A&M
Each year, CHECK-IN serves as a mid-year review of developments, shifts and trends in modern and contemporary art, from the vantage of Southeast Asia. Featuring first-hand accounts, dialogues, observations and analyses, it is an inclusive anthology of voices from the region and across the diaspora. We believe this will facilitate greater understanding and appreciation of the inherent diversity and constant innovation in the art scene to share with the wider global art community.
CHECK-IN 2025 is the fifth edition of this annual publication and we are now looking for essay and interview proposals that consider the following themes:
1. Interventions and applications across art and technology
2. Beyond Southeast Asia, spotlighting transnational artistic and curatorial practices and their connections with the region
3. Place-making in the periphery and the future of art ecosystems
To get a good idea of the content we are looking for, please refer to CHECK-IN 2024 and CHECK-IN 2023.
