A&M Salon is a regular gathering of creative individuals to talk about art at intersections with other disciplines.

Join us for the fifth iteration of A&M Salon, where we explore the dynamic relationship between visual art and theatre, focusing on the immediacy of performance, interplay of language, creative collaboration, technological advancements, and more!

  • Derrick Tay believes in the transformative power of introspection. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and dual diplomas in Performance and Popular Vocal Teaching from the London College of Music, Derrick draws upon his diverse skill set to create immersive experiences that foster emotional connection and self-discovery at SainouSpace. As a musician, vocalist, actor, and educator, Derrick has established a reputation for his ability to create unique and meaningful experiences for his audience.

  • Faith Liu trained at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Lighting Design (2016). In September 2017, she co-founded 微 Wei Collective with theatre practitioner Neo Hai Bin. She is interested in how breath is given to spaces, objects and bodies with light, and is honoured to have worked on numerous theatre and dance productions in Singapore. 

  • Rizman Putra has been actively juggling performance, visual arts, and music for the past 20 years after earning a Master of Arts (Fine Arts) from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2007. In 2005, Rizman was one of the four artists selected for the President’s Young Talents Exhibition and was part of the Fukuoka Triennale. He has performed locally and internationally, and at the inaugural Singapore Biennale in 2006. Rizman is also part of the retro-futurist electronic duo, NADA, and is currently an Associate Artist with Cake Theatrical Productions.

  • Vivyan Yeo is Content Producer at A&M, where she writes thematic articles, designs collateral, and co-organises multimedia programmes about the Southeast Asian art scene. With experiences at Cambodian Living Arts in Phnom Penh, Christie’s New York, Gajah Gallery, NUS Press, Christie’s Singapore and Art Agenda, S.E.A., she constantly seeks fresh perspectives and aspires to enrich others through art. She is also pursuing a Master’s in Art Therapy at LASALLE College of the Arts.


Past Iterations

A&M Salon 1 | The Past is in the Present
11 March 2021, 6.30 - 7.30pm

‘The Past is in the Present', organised in partnership with Epigram Books, centres on the intersections between visual and literary art forms. It takes the book ‘Robert Yeo at Eighty: A Celebration’ as its starting point and focuses on the ways in which we remember the past through art and literature.

A&M Salon 2 | Living Memories
20 November 2021, 3 - 4pm

'Living Memories', organised in partnership with Art Agenda, accompanies the exhibition ‘Surfaces of Time’ at 63 Spottiswoode Park Road in Singapore featuring the works of Chua Ek Kay and Lee Lim. How do art and architecture preserve our memories? We discuss this question in the second session of A&M Salon.


A&M Salon 3 | Art, Food, Design
23 January 2022, 2 - 3.30pm

Organised in partnership with National Arts Council Singapore as part of Singapore Art Week 2022, this session looks at the unexpected connections that have been found between art and food, fashion and design in general, as well as the collaborations that bridge these porous worlds.

20 September 2022, 7 - 8pm

Organised in partnership with Appetite, the fourth iteration of A&M Salon explored the surprising connections between art and food, focusing on collaborations, joys and challenges.
