Fresh Take 2023 Writing Contest
Fresh Take seeks aspiring art writers
By A&M
A&M’s ‘Fresh Take’ writing contest returns for its fourth iteration in 2023.
We would like to invite early-career writers to write critically and/or creatively in response to the Southeast Asian art scene. We welcome traditional art writing such as previews, reviews, analytical and observational essays, as well as text formats that are more unconventional for the genre, such as short stories, poems and conversations.
Please submit a written response to an exhibition, event, activity or trend relating to Southeast Asian art up to a maximum of 1,000 words. We welcome entries that are (significantly) shorter, so long as a distinct point of view is put across.
As far as possible, contestants are to observe the writing style of articles published on artandmarket.net. If images are used, they are to be inserted into the article and captioned according to the A&M house style as well.
If you have any questions, please email us at info@artandmarket.net.
