SGD 280.00

‘Space Drawing No.12’ ‘was created at 155 Middle Road in Singapore by local artist Sai. Built in the 19th century (between 1870 and 1875), 155 Middle Road is one of the few remaining examples of gothic architecture in Singapore. Its iterations include: Christian Institute, Methodist Girls’ School, Straits Chinese’s first Methodist Church, May Blossom Restaurant, a car workshop and Sculpture Square. Today, it is where Objectifs, an independent visual arts space is located. With bungee ropes from wall to wall, from floor to ceiling, and from the tinside the outside of Objectifs, ‘Space Drawing No.12’ is drawing, film, performance and spatial sculpture that connects physical facets of the historical site.

‘Space Drawing’ is a series of experimental and multi-disciplinary installations and film work exploring the idea of the simplest but the most fundamental function of a line – to divide, subtract and define a space.

Dimensions: 34.3 x 11 x 6.5cm
