Applicants should have excellent command of the English language and be able to communicate accurately in writing articles and/or social media posts, as well as via email with the team and others. In addition, applicants must be able to work independently and adhere to given deadlines.
Keen interest in Southeast Asian art is necessary, and a fair understanding of how things work in the art industry would be appreciated.
Students looking for internships and/or part-time work are also welcome to apply. If you reside in Singapore, there is the possibility of working part of the time at our physical space at Tanjong Pagar Distripark and the rest remotely. If you are based abroad, you are still welcome to apply. The length and intensity of commitment, as well as the compensation will all depend on the applicant's prior work experience and availability.
In addition, the successful candidate will receive one-to-one mentoring in art journalism as practised at Art & Market if this is of interest.
Applicants are to send a CV and, if available, a piece of work that is related to the role you are applying for e.g. a piece of writing, an example of graphic design and/or an edited sound/video file. If you would like to be considered for more than one of the roles, do submit all relevant samples of work.
